Memory Fades is a virtual-reality artwork that immerses the audience in a complex and dynamic world created from the superimposition of several types of architectural space. The environment encourages the participant to pay attention to the personal significance of built space, and reflect on how their memories of it fade with time.
This project was completed for Ryerson New Media's META 2018 show.
This project recieved the META 2018 Faculty Choice Award.
The Giving Tree is a web based piece in which social media data is crowdsourced and then used to sustain the life of a plant in a greenhouse setting. The piece retrieves Tweets in real time and categorizes them either positive or negative based on keywords (ie. love, hate). Every 24hrs that imformation is totaled. If positive > negative the tree recieves water and sunlight; if not it receives nothing.
1901 is an experiental light based installation designed to mimic the movement of radiowaves through space. The physical component of this project was 3D printed. The light patterns were mapped using Neopixel & Arduino libraries.
This project was commissioned for Ryerson University's Alan Slaight Radio Studio.
